Giacomo Filibeck

Born in Rome in 1978, Giacomo Filibeck is Secretary General of the Party of European Socialists.
From 2002 to 2009, he served as president of the European Youth Forum and Young European Socialists, representing YES in the PES Presidency and contributing to major EU, Council of Europe, UN and World Bank consultations. He previously led the Youth Convention on the Future of Europe, worked in the international department of Italy’s Partito Democratico on Middle East, Mediterranean and African Affairs, chaired its foreign policy forum, and directed the international relations office of Italy’s Ministry of Agriculture. He holds a degree in Political Science and a master’s from INSEAD.
