Sorin-Mihai Grindeanu

Sorin Grindeanu is the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies since June 2025 and ad interim president of the Social Democratic Party since May 2025.
He most recently served as the Romanian Minister of Transport and Infrastructure (2021-2025), being recognised as the most successful Infrastructure Minister in Romania’s history. In the last years he held some of the highest offices in government and public administration, including as Prime Minister (Ian – Jun 2017) , Deputy Prime Minister (2021-2023), Minister of Communications and Information Society (2014-2015), President of the National Authority for Communications Administration and Regulation (2017-2020), and Member of the Romanian Parliament (2012-2016/2020-to date).
His strong roots in local and national politics are modelled on his own father’s commitment, determination, and civic-mindedness.
