Born in 1982, Antti Lindtman is a fourth-term Member of Parliament, chair of the Social Democratic Party (the SDP), member of Vantaa City Council, father and husband. He and his family live in Vantaa, his childhood hometown.
A desire to make the voice of young people heard, to take action and tackle the shortcomings around him prompted young Antti to work actively on the Student Council and as chair of the Youth Council. When completing his military service, Antti often spent his spare time in positions of trust at the City of Vantaa. He has worked, among other roles, as a concrete-mixer truck driver and in different positions at the Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions (SAK).
In 2011, Antti was first elected to Parliament from the electoral district of Uusimaa. He is now in his fourth term, and has served on the Foreign Affairs Committee, the Future Committee, and on the Chancellery Commission of the Parliament. Antti was the chair of the Social Democratic Parliamentary Group for eight years from 2015 to 2023. In addition to parliamentary work, he has served as chair of Vantaa City Council from 2009 to 2023 and as a city councillor since 2005.
Sports has always played an important role in Antti’s life, especially team sports in which you win or lose together. He is a passionate football player and plays goalkeeper in the parliamentary football club. His hobbies also include jogging and floorball. In his spare time Antti likes best spending time with family, especially with his 6-year-old daughter.
